Our ingredients - Vegetable Glycerin

Glycerin is a thick gelatinous and odourless liquid which dissolves in water completely and is low in toxic levels. It's main feature is the capacity of absorbing water from the air and preserving the moistness. At Looca Beauty we extract the glycerin from plants by applying a mix of pressure, temperature and water. Vegetable glycerine has a texture similar to an oil syrup and it acts like a humectant that attracts moisture to the skin.

Glycerin is an emollient, making your skin soft and supple to touch. We all know that during winter months the skin becomes dry and it needs additional care. By absorbing the water from the air, glycerin is especially useful during this cold winter months. Reasearch proved that glycerin is also highly recommended for skin conditions such as acne or skin infections with very positive results in treating them.
